WhatsApp Features Tracker WABetaInfo reports that Beta Update 2.21.30.16 for messaging service features a logout feature that allows users to link a device to their WhatsApp account. So far, WhatsApp has only given the option to uninstall the app from the said device, or alternatively, delete your account to link a device to the link. However, uninstalling the app can damage data if it is not backed up.

The logout option, for now, replaces the Delete My Account option in the account settings, but may change according to this report. WABetaInfo also shared a video of this feature in use, showing that tapping the logout option takes the user to the "Agree and Continue" home page. The report goes on to say that the beta feature works in both WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business.

The implementation of this logout feature suggests that WhatsApp is working on releasing multi-device support while many devices require that a device be logged in if necessary. The report indicates that multi-device support is being implemented in two cases, one for the WhatsApp app and the other for two linked devices. The first will allow the user to use the phone's voice web without the need for an Internet connection. Another will help users link their WhatsApp account to four different devices. It is not necessary to enable a main internet connection over the phone. WABetaInfo also warns that this may change across the four devices in the future.
